An Extensive and Highly Limited Offer of Cayuse

Hello Collectors,

It’s always exciting when we come across an extensive parcel of wines by a highly sought-after producer… and get to offer it directly to you! Even more exciting? When it’s from one of our favorite underrepresented regions—like Washington—and when the producer is none other than Cayuse. If you’ve had their wines before, you already know what we’re talking about. But if you’re only familiar with their funky labels and bottling names, these are consistently some of the very best wines made anywhere in America, from any variety, from some of North America’s best terroir—all thanks to their pioneering proprietor and winemaker.

Cayuse’s success really stems from the singular genius of Christophe Baron. When he moved to the United States from Champagne, in search of the perfect plot of land for an estate winery, he originally started in Oregon. His travels took him just over the Columbia River, however, and into a valley covered with giant stones that reminded him of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. After discovering this in 1997, he ended his search, put down roots (figuratively, then literally)… and the rest is history.

Fast forward to 2023, and Christophe has expanded his stable of wineries to include Horsepower, No Girls, Hors Categorie, and Champagne Christophe Baron—with biodynamic farming throughout. And for as many 99- and 100-point scores as his wines have won over the years, they’re only getting better as he continues to dial in the farming and winemaking of each parcel. They also drink deliciously upon release (with decant) and age effortlessly too. If you’re new to Cayuse—or haven’t opened any in a while—we strongly encourage you to, as they continue to impress us every single time. They always exceed our expectations—which are already high. Not many wineries can do that, let alone as consistently as Cayuse.

The only downside of today’s offer? Many of these only have one or two bottles available. So our usual advice is doubly true today: if you see something you like, don’t hesitate to claim it for your cellar—or better yet, your table.
