Saturated dark ruby. Multidimensional, expressive aromas of cassis, plum, violet, licorice, mint, leather and flowers. Juicy, penetrating fruit given thrust and focus by superb acidity. Really uncanny three-dimensional texture and great flavor intensity. Richness currently kept under wraps by powerful structure. Finishes with firm-edged Medoc-like tannins. The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits an opaque blue/black/purple color, followed by sweet cassis aromas intermingled with scents of earth, spice, smoke, and grilled meats. This dense, powerful, muscular, concentrated wine provides an enormous mouthfeel.
