From the Castello di Argiano, the Sesti 2016 Brunello di Montalcino opens to a soft and nicely textured disposition. This wine has a lovely way about it, not showing too much power or tannins that are too firm. You smell the dark ripeness of the fruit and some of the spice that comes from slow aging in large oak casks. Balanced acidity and tart fruit flavors appear on the close. Sesti has produced exactly 17,646 bottles to be released in February of next year. [22/11/2020]
