The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from the climat of Les Longuettes. It is strangely quite muted on the nose, certainly more than the Bâtard-Montrachet. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with a bright, quite saline finish that feels quite linear. Maybe I just wanted more tension and mineralité here? Anticipated maturity: 2026-2043
