The NV Extra Brut Les Beguines is spicy, savory and full of Meunier character. All it needs is time to soften and fully come together, as it has just been disgorged. Today, it is the raw energy that impresses most. Dried pear, ginger, spice, dried herbs, anise and chamomile open gradually. Time in the glass fills out the mid-palate and finish nicely, giving a good idea of what is to come. This looks to be a medium-bodied, distinctly savory, vintage for Les Beguines.
