Dynamic Duo

Hello Collectors,

Today’s offer includes both the expected (Bordeaux) and the unexpected (Loire), yet both of these have a perfect place within the wines that we love to offer. This is our first broad campaign of the 2023 Bordeaux Futures, and we have had incredible interest so far this year, having quietly sold through much of what we have to offer already! We follow that up with two of the best from the Loire Value – Clos Rougeard and Pascal Cotat – both of which can offer decades’ worth of phenomenal aging.

Having had the great privilege to travel to Bordeaux to taste the 2023 vintage, I was able to gain some valuable insight. Mother Nature had a funny path to carving out a very successful vintage, and the top wines of the vintage are truly brilliant. The two variables that matter most, though, are quite a few big names being released early and at incredibly friendly pricing. For those who stocked up on 2019s because they were bargains, this will be another one as well! What we are offering today is only a reflection of what has been released to date! VERY IMPORTANT – Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions about specific wines that you want! We are largely sticking to the top offerings but can accommodate other requests. Send us your shopping lists too!

I will never hide my love for the wines of the Loire Valley. I adore Sauvignon Blanc, and Pascal Cotat is among the very best of the appellation. These brilliant wines can easily age for two decades and offer thrilling enjoyment right out of the gate too. While Cotat may be “one of the best,” there is no disputing who the greatest Cabernet Franc master is – Clos Rougeard. Now owned by the Bouygues family (Chateau Montrose), they are carrying on the incredible legacy of the Foucault family that turned the winery into a one-of-a-kind icon. Think Soldera, Rayas, or Keller – these wines are in that special pantheon of producers who defy their respective regions. I’ve had the great enjoyment of tasting the recent vintages crafted under the Bouygues family and can confidently say that the wines are every bit as brilliant as their hallowed history.
